Benjamin Briones is a graduate of The National School of Classical Ballet, The National School of Contemporary Dance and The Royal Academy of Dancing in Mexico City.
He moved to North America in 1995 to dance with Ballet El Paso. He then danced with Ballet Austin.
As a soloist he has appeared with many companies, among them Ballet el Paso, Connecticut Ballet, Mid Ohio Ballet, Ballet Theater of Annapolis, Granite State Ballet, Southern New Hampshire Ballet, New Heaven Ballet, and River Ballet. Among the roles he has danced are: Cavalier and Snow King in The Nutcracker, Basilio in Don Quixote, Ali in Le Corsaire, and Jonathan Harker in Dracula. He has also appeared as a Principal dancer in numerous Contemporary pieces including: "No Exit" and "Huapango".
Benjamin has been choreographing since 2006. Commissioned works have been performed at such places as:
“Dance Festival Italy” in Bary Italy.
“The Latin Choreographers Festival 2008-09”,
“The New York International Choreographers Festival” 2006-09, “International Dance Festival, Hudson Dance Festival”, “Dance Theater Workshop”, “Blue Muse” in NY and Museo Nacional de Antropologia e Historia in MX.
After having danced with “The Staten Island Ballet” (NY), Benjamin was appointed their Balletmaster in 2006-2009. He was also the resident choreographer for the company.
In 2007 he was appointed Choreographer for The “Ajkun Ballet Theatre” (NY).
A student of a blend of Cuban and Royal ballet styles, as well as Graham, Cunningham, Limon and Francis modern dance styles, Benjamin is currently coached by: Nancy Bielski, and David Howard.
A co-owner of UBCostumesDancewear.com Benjamin has been designing and constructing costumes and dancewear for the past 14 years.

Benjamin Briones es graduado de la Escuela Nacional de Danza Clasica, de la Escuela Nacional de Danza Contemporanea y de la Royal Academy of Dancing en la Ciudad de Mexico.
Mudandose a USA en 1995 para bailar con "Ballet El Paso" y despues con "Ballet Austin" en Texas.
Como solista ha aparecido con numerosas companias como: "Connecticut Ballet", Mid Ohio Ballet", Ballet Theater of Annapolis, Granite State Ballet", Southern New Hampshire Ballet", "New Haven Ballet", "River Ballet" and "Ballet El Paso". Bailando papeles como: Cavalier and Snow King en el Cascanueces, Basilio en Don Quijote, Ali en El Corsario, y Jonathan Harker en Dracula.
Papeles principales en piezas contemporaneas como: "No Exit" de Andrea Ariel y "Huapango" de Ingeborg Heuser estan en su repertorio tambien.
Benjamin empezo a coreografear seriamente desde el ano 2006. Piezas comisionadas se han presentado en lugares como:

Despues de haber bailado con "Staten Island Ballet" en NY; Benjamin fue nombrado Maestro Ensayador y Choreografo residente de la compania en 2006.
En 2007 fue invitado como coreografo para "Ajkun Ballet Theatre" en NY.
Estudioso de estilos Cubano y Royal en Ballet, como tambien de Graham, Cunninham, Limon y Francis en moderno; Benjamin actualmente se entrena con Nancy Bielski y David Howard.
Asi mismo Benjamin es co-propietario de UBCostumesDancewear.comdonde ha disenado y construido vestuarios y ropa de danza por mas de 14 anos.
